Roman Gorsek - RA Production


Roman Gorsek is a well known music producer and music supervisor from Serbia, with more than twenty years of experience in the entertainment business. He is best known for his progressive work in Serbian rock music as well as his influential contribution to soul, funk, hip hop and other popular music genres produced in the region.
Born in Belgrade, Roman studied psychology before founding the rock group Plejboj in 1992. After recording three albums with the band, he joined forces with composer Aleksandra Kovac, and founded RAproduction, music production company which specializes in composing for film and new media, music supervision and production, songwriting, talent search, marketing and vocal coaching.
Concurrent with his successful career as a music producer, songwriter and musician in popular music, Roman has garnered acclaim as a music producer and music supervisor in TV, theater, commercials and film. He has produced and co-written theme songs, the most recent of which are for the 2013 and 2016 Coca-Cola Christmas campaign commercial, as well as music for major brand commercials, including VIP Mobile, Telekom etc.
Roman was the music producer and supervisor for many short animations, short animated films, feature length documentaries, commercials and TV shows. He produced and mixed the music score for the short animated film “Separate lives”, which was nominated for the New Talent Award at the BAFTA Scotland 2015., as well as the music score for feature length documentary “The most important boy in the world” which opened 2016 BELDOCS, international documentary festival.
Recently he produced the music score for the off Broadway theater play “Jackie and Marilyn” (April 2014), which premiered at the Lion Theater in Theater Row, New York, as well as the critically acclaimed ten-part crime drama “Ubice moga oca” (“My father’s murderers”) produced by the Serbian production company “Work in progress” and directed by Peter Gaga Antonijevic.
Roman is known as an excellent business strategist in the music industry, and has held many workshops on the subject. He has published his essay on music business in the book “Serbia: My Case, A New European Generation” for British Council in Serbia, and is a promoter of young music talent, producing new artists each year in different musical genres.
Besides being a pioneering music producer in Serbia, his work as an executive producer is also impressive. He has produced many corporative events, tours, and concerts (Launch party FOX TV, VIP Mobile events, VIP Tour Aleksandra Kovac etc).
As a part of RAproduction he was involved in several important projects as a music producer – Council of Europe “1 in 5” campaign against child abuse; Serbian Ministry of youth and sports campaign “Play for life”; Ana i Vlade Divac foundation / EFG bank campaign “Big heart for children” for the reconstruction of children playgrounds in Serbia. He works and lives in Belgrade.
